A total of 244 new homes are expected to be delivered by the end of the year, as part of a broader housing programme aimed at strengthening access to affordable and organised residential development across Cyprus.

The housing authority’s strategy is based on three main pillars. The first focuses on traditional housing projects, with 244 residences scheduled for completion by the end of 2026. The second pillar targets affordable housing, including projects in Limassol and Strovolos worth a combined €28 million. These developments aim to address growing demand, particularly in urban areas, by offering homes at more accessible prices.

The third pillar involves managing state-backed housing projects through urban planning incentives, with revenues reinvested into affordable housing initiatives. The approved budget forecasts revenues and expenditures of approximately €42 million, with major investments directed toward new residential units, affordable rental housing and land development in areas such as Timi, Dromolaxia, Kokkinotrimithia and Ypsonas. In parallel, additional housing units are planned through partnerships with the private sector, further expanding the supply of affordable rental homes.
