Plans are moving ahead for the long-awaited upgrade of a key road in Aradippou, aimed at easing traffic congestion and improving connectivity with Larnaca. The project focuses on the reconstruction of a major avenue linking the town with the motorway network, an area that experiences heavy daily traffic, including a significant number of freight vehicles.

The development will be carried out in two phases, with the first stage expected to prioritise the busiest section of the route. This phase will involve widening the road from two to four lanes, a move expected to significantly improve traffic flow and reduce delays. A second phase will extend the upgraded road further into the town, while also improving access to nearby residential and commercial areas, supporting future growth and local activity.

In parallel, additional road safety improvements are being promoted in the area, including upgrades at busy junctions and enhanced lighting infrastructure. These interventions aim to reduce accident risks and improve overall driving conditions, addressing long-standing concerns for both residents and daily commuters while strengthening the local transport network.
