Trachoni is a village that is 8 kilometers to the southwest of the city of Limassol and is located in the district of Limassol. Noteworthy is the fact that the village’s administrative region shares space with the British military base at Akrotiri. It shares boundaries with Circassian Chiftlik to the east, Asomatos to the south, Kolossi to the west, and Ypsonas to the north. During the Middle Ages, the village is mentioned as Trahoni. Tracori is the designation found on old maps.
The name of Trachoni derives from the ancient Greek word "trahon," which indicated stony and uneven ground. There are three chapels and two churches standing in the settlement, the chapels of Agios Georgios, Panagia Chrysospiliotissa, Panagia Katoklisiotissa, the old Church of Agios Mama, and the new Church of Agios Mama.
The village's real estate market is characterized by its variety of properties such as houses, villas, bungalows, and plots of land. We feature 29 σπίτια πωλήσεις in Trachoni.
