Safer journeys with new roundabout in Protaras

A new roundabout has been completed in Protaras, aiming to improve traffic flow, enhance road safety and better serve residents, visitors and businesses in the busy coastal area.

Located at the junction of Protaras-Cape Greco Avenue and Thali Street, the new infrastructure was designed to address increasing traffic demands, particularly during periods of high activity. The project includes upgraded pavements, a cycle lane, a signalised pedestrian crossing, improved street lighting, new road signs and additional supporting infrastructure.

The new roundabout is expected to contribute to smoother traffic management and safer movement for drivers, pedestrians and cyclists. The project, which was completed with an investment of €596,000 plus VAT, forms part of wider efforts to improve transport infrastructure and the everyday experience of people using the area.
