Inflation drops in Cyprus in first half of 2024

An analysis by the Cyprus Statistical Service (Cystat) indicates that there was a little decrease in inflation in Cyprus during the first half of 2024. With increases in excise taxes excluded, the inflation rate decreased by 0.32 percent from July to December 2023 to the preceding six months.

According to statistics from Cystat, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Cyprus during January to June 2024 was 112.41 units, excluding increases in excise taxes. This is a drop of 0.32 percent from the prior time frame.

On the other hand, the CPI, which does not include excise tax increases, grew by 2.2 percent in the first half of 2024 compared to the same time in 2023.
