Maroni is a village in the district of Larnaca, about 35 kilometers southwest of the city of Larnaca. The village is connected to the southwest with the village of Zygi, to the northwest with the village of Psematismenos and through it to the new Nicosia-Limassol Road.
The village has kept most of its original architecture, including its small alleys, limestone-built homes, charming openings, arches, and gateways with carved-stone frames. The village’s dilapidated houses were recently purchased and refurbished, while also new houses were constructed.
