At an elevation of 770 meters, Pera Pedi is situated 35 kilometers northwest of Limassol in the southern Troodos mountain range. It is situated in a broad, level area that is encircled by mountains that are between 850 and 1000 meters high. The settlement is traversed by the Krios (cold) river, a tributary of the Kouris River.
Pera Pedi became very well-known throughout Cyprus for its apple production. Also, wine, pears, and other fruits are grown there. Although the settlement is situated in a mountainous region, the name derives from its leveled terrain (“oropedion”). As a result, it is a hamlet that is situated "per Pedion" ("pera" or "antipera", meaning across). The village is consistently dated to the Byzantine era.
In the settlement, a liqueur production and bottling facility have been in operation, catering mostly Cyprus's hotel sector. There is also a British-built wine plant, which is situated on a special land and it is without a doubt one of the village’s most spectacular structures. It was built out of mountain rock and it is currently owned and operated by the KEO company.
The village’s real estate market comprises a diverse selection of properties including traditional and modern houses, villas, and plots of land. Find the perfect property for you by browsing through our listing that features 2 hus uthyres in Pera Pedi.
