Ergates is a village situated in the southwest of Nicosia, approximately 17 kilometers from the city center. The village is positioned on the western bank of the Pediou River (also known as Pithia) and has an average altitude of 340 meters above sea level. With a population of around 1,656 residents, Ergates is the 13th largest community in Nicosia (World Population Review).
