Addressing climate change is a top priority for the Nikos Christodoulides the government, and the tourism sector, which has proven resilient and adaptive in the face of changing challenges, shares this goal. This was emphasized by Kostas Koumis, the deputy minister of tourism, during the 2nd Conference on "Tourism in the Era of Climate Change: Challenges and Innovations", which was sponsored by the president of the republic.

"The developmental path of tourism must continue with respect for the environment, acknowledging our responsibility to protect the environment and ensure they are passed on to future generations", Koumis said, underscoring the significance of sustainable tourism practices.

The Deputy Minister went on to describe the government's resolve to use specific measures and regulations to lessen the effects of climate change. These programs are being carried out in accordance with worldwide and European standards to solve the urgent environmental issues of today.

The government hopes to create a tourism industry that not only boosts the economy but also protects the natural heritage that is essential to its prosperity.
