On the eastern edge of the hilly Pitsilia, in the district of Limassol, lies a settlement called Sykopetra that was constructed at an elevation of 800 meters. It shares boundaries with Arakapa to the south, Agios Konstantinos to the west, Palaichori to the north, Kambi to the northwest, Melini to the east, and Odou to the southeast. The settlement of Sykopetra predates the Cypriot kingdoms, as evidenced by the area's archaeological discoveries.
It should be emphasized that the Sykopetra community also includes the prophet Elias village, which is more contemporary and was formerly known as Lampiris. According to local legend, the beautiful princess Nausicaa fell dead in the area when her horse fell over a rock above. Hence, the settlement was originally called “Nausikopetra” in honor of her, but over time it changed to Sykopetra.
Plane trees, willows, rhododendrons, goat vines, and cyclamen are just a few examples of riverfront plants that can be found in the deep valleys of the Sykopetra area.
The village boasts a diverse real estate market, with a wide range of properties available including houses, villas, bungalows, and plots of land for development. Discover the ideal property for you on our listing which includes 0 διαμερίσματα ενοικιάσεις in Sykopetra.
