According to the Statistical Office's most recent report, employee pay increased noticeably in the fourth quarter of 2023.

According to the data, employees' average gross monthly earnings in Q4 2023 were €2,693, which is a significant increase from the €2,535 recorded in the same period in 2022. This is a noteworthy 6.2% increase.

Further analysis indicates that when adjusted for seasonal fluctuations, the average gross earnings for the same period amount to €2,402, reflecting a 1.6% increase compared to the preceding quarter of 2023.

Breaking down the figures by gender, men are reported to have an average gross monthly earning of €2,884, while women stand at €2,452. When compared to Q4 2022, men experienced a rise of 6.7% in their monthly earnings, whereas women saw a 5.5% increase during the same period.
