Grants for electric vehicles: €9,000 for private cars, up to €20,000 for families and disabled users

Cyprus has launched the fourth phase of its electric vehicle grant scheme, with applications open from December 5 to 9. This phase applies only to fully electric, zero-emission vehicles and includes a total of 520 grants across five categories.

The grants range from €9,000 for new private-use electric cars to €20,000 for vehicles used by people with disabilities and for large families. Additionally, €9,000 is available for used electric vehicles imported from abroad, and €15,000 is offered for N-1 commercial vehicles. Applicants must wait for official preliminary approval before ordering a vehicle.

If applications exceed the available grants, eligibility will be decided through a lottery. A priority list will then be published, and selected applicants can proceed with their purchase. Unused grants from the previous phase will be transferred to this new call and assigned to the next eligible applicants.
