Expansion works begin at Paphos Airport with new taxiways and larger terminal

Major expansion works have begun at Paphos International Airport to increase terminal capacity by around 30% and improve operational efficiency. The Phase 2 development includes building modifications and the addition of rapid exit taxiways, allowing aircraft to leave the runway more quickly and enhancing overall airport capacity.

The expansion will improve passenger experience, speed up checks and procedures, and extend the southern parallel taxiway to strengthen operational flexibility. Temporary traffic arrangements have been implemented outside the arrivals area, with one lane always open, special signage, and staff on site to manage traffic and pedestrian safety. Travelers are asked to cooperate during the works to ensure smooth traffic flow.
